The lucille dress
Needing a sort of stress relief, in my first months of college, I created this piece at my dorm room desk. The ideas had been flowing out of me for days, bleeding into the margins of my notebooks and compelling me to pull out my sketchbook whenever I had a free moment.
The Lucia Dress
The week prior to moving into college, I found myself a little lost. I was the last to leave of my Friends, and the stress of moving away had begun to creep in. then, The realization that I wouldn’t always have the time to sew hit me. rather than letting it bubble up, I sewed the Lucia dress. This was an escape from the anxiety of college and An ode to my summer of sewing. I had made so much progress over the months; only Learning to sew the winter prior, i had much room for improvement. The intricacy was unlike any piece I had made before, the final challenge before i began my next chapter. The day before I left, I completed the dress, giving me the confidence and relief to begin my journey.
Thoughtfully crafted to elevate what matters most.
